Got To Be More

Effects & transitions showcase — cut to the music

Project overview

A 29-second showcase of pure editing craft: glow passes, glitch transitions and beat-synced typography around the line “Got to be more”. No narrative — every cut is a beat, every beat earns its frame.

Got To Be More

A 29-second showcase of pure editing craft: glow passes, glitch transitions and beat-synced typography around the line “Got to be more”. No narrative — every cut is a beat, every beat earns its frame.

My approach

This is where I go back to what made me an editor: the AMV discipline. Frame-accurate cuts, glow and glitch accents on transitions, and typography that pulses with the track — twenty-nine seconds with nothing to hide behind.

The craft

Every cut lands on a beat; every effect justifies its frame. The line “Got to be more” isn’t decoration — it’s the edit’s pulse, timed so the text becomes percussion.

Why AMV

Anime music videos taught me timing, visual flow and how sound drives picture — the skills I now use on every client project. This piece is that foundation on display.

Conclusion

Got To Be More is a small piece with a simple promise: rhythm first, and everything else follows it.
